Autumn prep starts now 🍂
As the mornings get darker and the roads get wetter, a quick check now can save you a headache later.
Our top 5 autumn essentials:
- Tyre tread and pressures
- Brakes (especially if you’ve noticed any noise or vibration)
- Wipers and screen wash
- Battery health
- Lights and visibility
If you want peace of mind, book in for a quick check and we’ll help you get ahead of the season.

Hot weather is hard on your cooling system
Hot weather is hard on your cooling system
When coolant is low or old, your engine can run hotter than it should, which can lead to:
– Temperature gauge creeping up
– Heater not as hot
-Sweet smell under the bonnet
If you’ve noticed any of the above, get it checked sooner rather than later.
We can pressure test the system, check for leaks, and make sure your coolant is at the right strength and level.

Wet cambelt (belt-in-oil) engines: the quick ‘need to know’ 👇
Some engines run the timing belt inside the engine, lubricated by oil (often called a “wet belt”). It can be quiet and efficient, but if the belt starts to break down it can contaminate the oil and cause serious engine damage.
What to watch for:
- Oil warning light or low oil pressure warnings
- Rattling/ticking from the engine
- Rough running or loss of power
- Service history gaps (wrong oil or missed oil changes)
Why oil changes matter so much:
Wet belts rely on the correct oil spec and regular oil changes. The wrong oil, extended intervals, or contamination can speed up belt wear.

Servicing isn’t just about keeping your car running

❄️ AIR CON: SUMMER COMFORT OR SILENT KILLER?
Your air con feels like a luxury—until it stops working mid-heatwave. But it’s more than comfort; it’s about safety and your engine’s health.
Why air con matters:
✓ Keeps you alert and focused on the road
✓ Reduces cabin humidity (prevents fogging, improves visibility)
✓ Keeps the system pressurised, preventing compressor wear from running dry
What happens when it breaks down:
✗ Mould and bacteria build up in the system
✗ Compressor damage from lack of lubrication
✗ Engine strain from increased cooling demands
✗ Expensive repairs
A broken air con doesn’t just ruin your summer—it can damage your engine and wallet. Regular servicing keeps it running smoothly and extends its lifespan.
Don’t sweat it—let us handle it. 🔧
